Le conseil d’administration de l’ULB du 21 janvier a mis en place un comité de pilotage pour que d’ici la fin décembre 2021, l’ensemble des portefeuilles de l’Université soient convertis en portefeuilles durables et socialement responsables.
D’ici trois ans, l’ULB aura donc exclu les énergies fossiles de ses portefeuilles d’investissement.
L’ULB dédicacera également des budgets d’investissement dans des projets locaux cohérents avec les engagements de l’Université pour la durabilité.
Cette décision a été prise suite à la présentation du rapport du groupe de travail « Énergies fossiles » mis en place à l’initiative des étudiants et qui est en droite ligne avec la politique environnementale menée depuis seize ans par l’ULB en faveur du développement durable.
Le mouvement mondial de désinvestissement des énergies fossiles est donc une nouvelle étape dans la mobilisation pour le climat.
Né en 2010 aux États-Unis, le mouvement de désinvestissement des énergies fossiles est en plein développement dans les pays anglo-saxons et commence à gagner l’Europe, dont la Belgique.
Son objectif consiste à exhorter les investisseurs – notamment institutionnels – à retirer leurs avoirs des entreprises impliquées dans l’extraction et l’exploitation des combustibles fossiles afin de contribuer à répondre au défi climatique.
Dans son travail, Fanny Lajarthe se penche sur les fondements historiques du mouvement de désinvestissement. Elle analyse tout particulièrement les ressorts de son arrivée toute récente dans notre pays, mettant l’accent sur la manière dont ses acteurs les plus militants tentent de s’adapter au contexte social, culturel et politique spécifique de la Belgique.
Invités : Fanny Lajarthe, Doctorante en environnement à l’ULB au sein du Centre d’études du développement durable de l’ULB.. Travaille sur les campagne de désinvestissement des énergies fossiles. Son mémoire de Master en Sciences et Gestion de l’Environnement s’intitulait Le mouvement de désinvestissement des énergies fossiles, Fondements, cadrages et résonance.
Second invité : Matteo Hinant, Bacchelier en sciences po et master en urbanisme, étudiant administrateur et a participé à l’initiative des étudiants dans le processus relatif au désinvestissement de l’ULB

KRAAK festival is the annual expedition to the outer edges of new music lands and the transforming habitats of avant-garde pioneers. Led by the idea to create an extended festival experience and flip the accustomed patterns of playing and listening to the music, this year we are launching a 24 hours journey kindly hosted by our friends from Beursschouwburg.
Next to the extensive music programme, the festival features the experimental film screening Spatialised latency (inbetween the acts), curated by Nathalie Papillon, the pop-up expo, and the label market. To accommodate 24 hours festival experience, we have provided the chill-out space, as well as the festival breakfast. The full 24-hour programme is hosted and presented by Amber Meulenijzer.
This year’s festival is curated jointly by the KRAAK festival committee, a group of close collaborators and supporters: Ernesto Gonzalez, Dieter Durinck, Gustave Demoen, Lizzy Vandierendonck, Maarten Raskin, Matthieu Levet, Niels Verougstraete, Sebastiaan Willemen and Victor Van Wassenhove.
