Il existe en Belgique tout au bord de la frontière un petit coin où l’on parle allemand, où les forêts sont profondes, et où, dans la petite ville de St Vith, 9 661 habitants, un groupe d’humains, une bande de théâtre, se lève régulièrement pour dire, en allemand : Das ist’s was wir sagen wollen !
Voilà ce que nous voulons vous dire :
Pour la plus grande joie des spectateurs, et parfois, aussi, pour leur colère bien trempée…
Amikejo c’est le portrait de ces fous de théâtre et de leur région si particulière.
C’est aussi, en filigranes, une invitation à réfléchir sur les utopies collectives et l’utopie européenne du vivre ensemble, qui semblent aujourd’hui bien mises à mal, et où le retour des frontières et les questions identitaires n’annoncent rien qui vaille…
