« Ceci n’est pas un titre, les artistes et l’intitulation », un ouvrage publié sous la direction e.a. de Laurence Brogniez, professeur d’histoire littéraire et de littérature comparée à l’ULB.
La question centrale, au coeur de cette publication qui balaye pas mal de disciplines artistiques : « De quel pouvoir le titre est-il détenteur dans la création artistique ? »
Avec une série d’artistes, les arts se répondent par delà les frontières des disciplines respectives : l’écriture trouve sa place dans l’espace pictural, la composition graphique dans la forme imprimée de certains texte poétique… Dans l’histoire de l’art, il y a quelques artistes incontournables quand on évoque la présence forte des titres. Les contributeurs à l’ouvrage ont chacun étudié, en fonction de leur spécialité, un artiste et une époque bien déterminée… on y évoque Duchamp, Satie, Mallarmé, Magritte… Qu’est-ce qui unit tous ces artistes ? Laurence Brogniez nous donne quelques éléments de réponse.
